2024 Small Business Success Summit Coming

The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the state’s principal provider of small business assistance and a partner of the St. Johns County Economic Development Department, is hosting the third annual 2024 Small Business Success Summit here in St. Johns County on Aug. 19-20, 2024, at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The summit will bring small business owners, experienced Florida SBDC Network consultants, knowledgeable experts, and valued partners together to share information to help business owners take their business to the next level. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, network with other small business professionals and resource providers, and learn key strategies to help their business launch, grow and thrive. This year’s keynote speakers include David Avrin, CX speaker and author, and Patric Young, former professional basketball player and motivational speaker.

David Avrin, CSP, Global Speaking Fellow, is one of the most in-demand customer experience speakers and consultants in the world today.  Avrin has shared his content-rich, entertaining and actionable presentations with enthusiastic audiences across North America and in 24 countries worldwide. Avrin helps organizations better understand and connect with their changing customers and clients to help future-proof their businesses. During his keynote address, Avrin will share how to attract the best customers and create an army of raving fans: It’s not who you know, it’s who knows YOU! 

Patric Young is a former basketball player who has achieved great success in the Final Four, NBA, and the EuroLeague. Unfortunately, at the age of 30 he was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left him unable to use his legs. Despite this setback, Young has found a new appreciation for life and is now sharing his inspiring message with audiences across the country. His message is simple but powerful: there is no time to waste, right now is the right time. Young is determined to motivate and inspire others to overcome their daily battles, whether they are personal or professional.
