Daytona Beach Adds Another Upscale Hotel

Daytona Beach’s reputation as a tourist destination took another step forward with the recent opening of the Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel, according to a media release. The hotel joins a growing list of new luxury properties in the area.

The hotel is at 640 North Atlantic Ave. and features 190 guestrooms and suites angled to the ocean with floor-to-ceiling doors. The hotel also features more than 12,000-square feet of event space with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The Ocean Ballroom has panoramic ocean views, theater seats for 700 and sit-down seating for 400. Other hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and deck, a pool bar, cabanas, and many other amenities, the release states.

The Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront joins the area’s growing list of upscale four-star properties that have opened including the Max Beach Resort, Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, The DAYTONA Autograph Collection Hotel, The Shores Resort & Spa and the Daytona Grande Oceanfront Resort.

The hotel is part of the Marriot International family and is part of the 16,000 net rooms the company added during the third quarter, according to the company’s earnings announcement.

Marriott’s global system totals nearly 9,100 properties, with roughly 1,675,000 rooms.
