Did You Know AI Could Be Your Next Interior Designer?

Having trouble figuring out what to do with that empty space in your house? Conflicted about how to decorate the guest room? Have no fear, the interior design field has a new entrant: artificial intelligence.

Home products company Wayfair recently announced Muse, described in a media release as “the latest innovation in personalized home shopping” and a way for customers to “find inspiration and ideas for their homes.”

According to the release, Muse allows users to search for any design style and allows them to build a personal collection for their decorating ideas.

“At Wayfair, our goal is to make it easy to create a home that is just right for you, and Muse delivers on that promise,” said Fiona Tan, chief technology officer at Wayfair, in the release. “Leveraging generative AI, we aim to elevate our search experience to be the best in the home category – seamlessly blending inspiration and shopping – to reaffirm our position as the premier destination for all things home.”

After finding the style they are looking for, users can upload a photo of the space and apply the style to see what it would look like, the release states.
