ECHO Advisory Committee Sets Applicant Meetings

The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical, and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Advisory Committee will meet at ECHO grant applicants’ project sites on Jan. 30, according to a media release. There will be a presentation and an opportunity for questions during each site visit at the following times and locations:

  • 9 a.m.: The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach Production Improvements, 726 E. Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach
  • 9:25 a.m.: The Hub on Canal Arts and Cultural Education Center, 199 Downing St., New Smyrna Beach
  • 10:20 a.m.: Conservation Florida D Ranch Preserve and Nature Center, 2655 Reed Ellis Road, Osteen
  • 11 a.m.: City of DeBary Bill Keller Park Pickleball Courts and Improvements, 338 Colomba Road, DeBary

Applicants will attend a mandatory eligibility meeting at 1 p.m. at the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, County Council Chambers, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand, the release states.

The presentations and eligibility meeting are open to the public. Interested individuals may access the agenda, grant applications, and video of the eligibility meeting starting at 1 p.m. Jan. 30 using the following link: www.volusia.org/echo/committee.stml.

ECHO grants are provided through a competitive application process annually and are for the purpose of acquiring, restoring, constructing or improving environmental, cultural, historical, and outdoor recreation facilities that are open for public use. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) not-for-profit groups that have a local office in Volusia County, municipal governments within Volusia County, and departments of Volusia County Government, the release states.
