Free Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Reporting Workshops

As of January 1, 2024, many companies in the United States are now required to submit a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report, which provides information about a company’s owners or those who control the company. This report is submitted to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which is a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. To help with this new requirement, the Small Business Development Center of the University of North Florida (SBDC) has partnered with the St. Johns County Public Library to offer free workshops for small businesses.

The workshops will begin with a presentation about the new requirement. After the presentation, SBDC representatives will help business owners file the report. Computers and laptops will be available if needed. Filing is simple, secure and free of charge. RSVP for the workshops is requested.
