Latest Volusia County Demographic Profiles Available

Whether you’re an innovator, entrepreneur or business owner, Volusia County’s Economic Development Division offers resources to assist you with your business strategies. The division’s research center provides business tools, mapping and reports as well as data on wages, area demographics, employment, workforce, education, employers, and the local economy.

Each year, Volusia County Economic Development creates community demographic profiles for the 16 municipalities and the county. Projections and the most current data available include:

  • 2010 Census counts, 2023 estimates, and 2028 projected population
  • Per capita income
  • Average household income
  • Average home value
  • Education attainment
  • Charts on population by age
  • Civilian labor force by industry

Volusia County’s 2023 estimated population is 574,286, an increase of 3.7% from 2020. The projected 2028 population indicates an increase of 6.5% from 2020.
