MasterCraft Builder Group to Honor Commissions

MasterCraft Builder Group, a semi-custom homebuilder based in St. Johns County, recently announced the company will continue to honor Realtor commissions despite changes in the real estate landscape, according to a media release.

The decision by MasterCraft follows the settlement announced by the National Association of Realtors that alters the structure of broker commissions, particularly impacting MLS databases governed by the NAR, the release states.

“Our local real estate agents have always been advocates and supporters of MasterCraft,” said Chris Shee, CEO and Founder of MasterCraft Builder Group, in the release. “We believe in the value, guidance, and expertise these agents bring with a new construction build. Additionally, we do not believe that their compensation should fall on the shoulders of homebuyers who are already facing larger down payments and closing expenses. We will continue to compensate Realtors for the pivotal role they play in the home buying process.”
