This report reflects the valuable input and unwavering support from our community. Community engagement was instrumental in shaping a clearer understanding of the needs across St. Johns County. Data for INK!’s comprehensive needs assessment was collected for several broad categories focusing on the social determinants of health, mental health, and substance use. The data included population and environmental characteristics, the prevalence of risky health behaviors, mental health indicators, and the resources available to address the community’s needs.
Cathy Newman, Executive Director for INK said, “We are extremely grateful to everyone who shared their voice in surveys, interviews, and focus groups, helping to identify and prioritize the needs of the St. Johns County community. We are especially proud of and thankful for the young people who submitted surveys and participated in focus groups to ensure that this St. Johns County Comprehensive Needs Assessment included the voice and perspective of our youth. We look forward to moving toward a heathier St. Johns County together.”
