Surgeon Joins AdventHealth Medical Group

With decades of experience treating heart and lung conditions, cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Cary Meyers recently joined AdventHealth Medical Group and will care for patients at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, according to a media release.

Board certified in General and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Meyers earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago and trained at Duke University Medical Center, where he completed his internship, two residencies in general and cardiothoracic surgery, and a research fellowship in surgery.

Meyers previously operating at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach as well as teaching future surgeons as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville, the release states.

“I’ve been caring for the Daytona Beach community for nearly a decade and am thrilled to join AdventHealth,” Meyers said in the release. “My goal is to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality care and AdventHealth Daytona Beach has a rich legacy of clinical excellence and innovation.”
