Yvette Gonzalez Ferrell Joins AAEA

Yvette Gonzalez Ferrell has joined the African American Entrepreneurs Association as Community Development Director, according to a media release. 

Originally from The Bronx New York, Gonzalez Ferrell has lived in West Volusia for 33 years and currently resides in DeLand. Her experience of working on numerous boards and local community programs in Flagler and Volusia counties area is a great asset to both the AAEA members and the level of programs the AAEA will be able to offer locally.  Plus, developing community engagement within the local communities will help strengthen the ability of the AAEA to increase the viability of the organization’s mission, the release states.  

Founder and CEO, Leslie Giscombe is extremely excited to work alongside Yvette.

“I am honored and excited to be able to bring this level of inspired leadership to the local community with Yvette taking the Flagler/Volusia Community Development Director position,” said Leslie Giscombe, AAEA founder and CEO, in the release. “The AAEA is in a significant growth position as we finish up our fifth year, and having Yvette come on board is an excellent opportunity for the association.”
