Those of us who are always on the lookout for a good wi-fi connection can take heart. According to a report from research firm Research and Markets, the global wi-fi market is projected to grow to more than $31 billion by 2027, up from $12 billion this year.

The growth will be driven by increased digital initiatives by businesses, more internet users around the world and an increase in wireless device use. In addition to higher demand for wi-fi services generally, government initiatives to provide wireless connectivity to residents are expected to be a major factor in the growth of the wi-fi market, along with upgrades in overall wi-fi standards.
