FitUSA Expands to New DeLand Facility
FitUSA Manufacturing, a veteran-owned manufacturer of custom athletic and performance wear, professional sports jerseys, uniforms and custom products, has expanded operations in a new facility in DeLand, according to a media release. FitUSA’s growth comes with newly acquired contracts to produce character and staff apparel for major corporations, the release states.
In response to the demands of these contracts, owner Troy Olson worked with Volusia County Economic Development to find a property that would accommodate his growing operations and workforce. The new facility is in the former 20,864-square-foot Battery Tender building on International Speedway Boulevard in DeLand.
“Volusia County Economic Development went above and beyond to help facilitate the opportunity for us to obtain this property,” Olson said in the release. “We are thrilled to be in DeLand and be part of the community.”
Volusia County Aviation and Economic Resources Director Cyrus Callum said the firm’s expansion shows the county’s commitment to helping existing businesses succeed.
“This project is the perfect example of how the county, working with our businesses and the cities, can facilitate the growth of the local economy while ensuring our existing businesses have the resources they need,” he said in the release. “We extend our utmost congratulations
