Highshaw Joins AdventHealth Medical Group

Board-certified urologist Dr. Tony Highshaw has joined AdventHealth Medical Group and cares for patients at AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, according to a media release.

As an AdventHealth Medical Group physician, he joins AdventHealth’s employed group of physicians with more than 400 health care providers, including 250 primary care physicians and specialists in Volusia, Flagler and Lake counties, the release states.

Highshaw has been practicing urology for 19 years. This is after extensive training in genitourinary oncology, a branch of urology focused on cancers of the urinary system. 

“I enjoy the variety of community Urology,” Highshaw said in the release. “I also enjoy giving patients relief by treating kidney stones to complex cancers such as prostate, kidney and bladder cancer.”  

Highshaw specializes in treating kidney, bladder and ureteral stones, as well as cancers of the kidney, ureter, bladder and prostate. In addition to vasectomies, he also performs urological procedures to treat sexual and erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence and more, the release states.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He did his first two years of residency in general surgery at the Los Angeles County Medical Center and completed his urology residency at University of California at Davis in the Department of Urology.
