Ashley Wimpelberg, Work-based Learning Coordinator with the St. Johns County Career and Technical Education Programs discusses how local business and industry can participate in job shadow and internship opportunities for local students. This is a great way to get involved in the school district and provide an educational opportunity for students. Studies have shown that something as simple as a job shadow experience or a 6-week internship can have an impactful experience on a young person’s career decision making.
