Locals Bring Seafood Concept to St. Augustine

Brian and Dara Packer knew they had found something special when they walked into Outer Banks Boil Company during a beach vacation in Delaware. They loved the concept of being able to pick up a pot full of fresh, tasty seafood to boil at home. But it wasn’t until they relocated from Maryland to St. Augustine that they knew they had found the perfect place to open their own location.

The pair, along with general manager Scott Dailey, recently opened Outer Banks Boil Company at 711 A1A Beach Blvd. in St. Augustine Beach., according to a media release.

“It’s such a fun concept,” said Brian Packer, in the release. “We obviously love the food – it’s delicious. But the real bonus is the connections we make with our customers. When we steam your boil for you, whether it’s a wedding, rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party, family reunion, football tailgate – you name it – we do all of the work while showing you and your guests how to boil. Our manager, Scott, and I are passionate about our work and our food. We get to chat and enjoy the experience, sharing our local knowledge and stories.”

Outer Banks Boil Company offers their boils for in-house catering or pick up to steam at home. With the catering service, staff arrive at your home an hour before it’s time to eat. They handle the cooking, serving, and clean-up and can even bring tablecloths, utensils, and plates. With the takeout option, diners can select a boil and schedule a convenient time to pick it up.

The traditional boil is jumbo shrimp, red bliss potatoes, andouille sausage, corn, and onions, and is served with lemon, butter, and Matt’s cocktail sauce. Variations feature clams, crab legs, lobster tails, and more. They offer sides and dessert to round out the meal.

The store is open seven days a week from noon to 7p.m.
