Cesar De Las Casas, MD, MPH Joins Halifax Health

Cesar De Las Casas, MD, MPH has joined Halifax Health – Charles L. & Miki N. Grant Cancer Center for Hope as medical oncologist/hematologist, according to a media release. De Las Casas has an extensive leadership background and has deep service in veteran healthcare.

After receiving his medical degree from Universidad Peruana – Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, De Las Casas completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He then completed a medical oncology and hematology fellowship at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston while earning a master’s degree in public health. He has also served as a director or chief of oncology at several recognized medical facilities including Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital.
